Bill Garthwaite was a first year law student at Cornell Law School when he started volunteering for CBW!. Prior to the fall of 2009, he was working on a few water-related engineering projects in Alaska for Kenai Watershed Fo-rum and Spain (for CETaqua). Bill studied environmental engineering at MIT, and hopes to apply the skills he learns in law school to improving environmental and housing/infrastructure issues. He would definitely recommend CBW! as a great place to learn about house building and affordable housing development in Ithaca.
Outside of school and work, he likes rowing, hiking, gardening, and drawing. He also volunteers at Loaves and Fishes in Ithaca. Bill is obviously a very busy man but still has found the time to volunteer on 35 days totaling 221 hours, Thank you Bill!
“Bill's commitment to volunteerism is impressive. He shows up rain or shine; CBW is fortunate to have him.”
